Still cold here in the frozen north. Still haven't gotten the water in my house fixed. I know the water line into the house has been turned off so I would like to know where all the water leaking out of the gage and the other busted pipe is coming from. Seriously I have to empty the bucket under the gage like every 20 min or it over flows. Where is it all coming from? There can't be that much water in the pipes in this house. Seriously.

Also surprisingly awake for someone who had to get up every hour all night long. Well every hour from like 5:30 to 9:30 before that I wasn't even bothering to try and sleep. Really wish this weather would break, but it doesn't look like it will soon so I've got days of this ahead of me quite possibly. Being able to flush the toilet would make it more bearable. Will have to call annikasevn soon to hassle her more. Water department person needs to come fix the gage and a plummer sort needs to look at the other bit.

The high temp for today is 6F/-14C I may have running water now, but that doesn't mean I will later. It's supposed to be down to -11F/-24C tonight. No cookies world, none at all.

There is a kitten sleeping on my feet and the wood stove is going. It's a wonderful way to spend a cold evening. To bad I need to get up and poke the wood stove again thus disturbing the sleeping kitten.

I do not approve of this cold weather crap. I can not get the house to warm up today and T. had to go home so I can't steal body heat from him anymore. According to weather.com it is 9(-13C) and feels like -4(-20C) out. And I'd believe it. I think I've finally got the wood stove going so maybe the heater will stop kicking on soon. I sort of feel bad using the oil, but the temperature on that is set at 56, and if it's not 56 in here then I want it to get warmed back up. What with the sitting on the couch with two sweat shirts on and a blanket over my lap at the moment, I couldn't possibly be cold.

In none weather news it's safe to say I am in a relationship, for the first time in like a year and a half. It'll probably take some getting used to, I'd become accustomed to the whole I'm single thing. I'm sure my mother will hate him on sight, actually she'll probably make disparaging remarks about his weight when he's not around but that's nothing new for her, and my dad will think he's not good enough for me. But thus far T. makes me happy and that's whats important. He cooks for me and volunteers to do the dishes, and last week on Wednesday when we were hanging out he was playing guitar and he improved a song about me. I'd say if he really does quit smoking like he's talking about he'll be pretty much perfect. I'm saying this after having only reconnected with the guy a week ago, but still. We're both geeks at heart, talkative geeks who like to cuddle, and there are far worse basses for relationships. And we've know each other for at least 10 years and we always used to get a long, and I figure the fact we still do after not seeing each other for 7 years is pretty good too.

So yeah, I'm happy and broke and life seems pretty good right now. And annikasevn will be home in less than a week. So what more could I really want? Okay money would be nice, but I'm happy and that's really nice.

Oh look chance of snow the next two days. This is why I grew up think winter started in October not December. I remember trick-or-treating in a snow storm once.

I guess Maine is under a hurricane warning right now. Although I suspect it applies to more coastal areas than where I am. I think I'll be fine. If for no other reason than this house has been here through every hurricane to hit the state. And I'm pretty far inland.

On the other had I don't even want to go in the basement and find out if it's started flooding or not. It's rained, but not the inches and inches some places have got.

Blargh I do not want to be awake god damn it. According to weather.com there is something like 91% humidity right now and it's going to get up to 75 later on today. This does not sound like my idea of fun.

I got home from work, got in the shower, then a thunder storm hit. And because sometimes a shower is the most important thing in the world I just finished the damn shower. The thunder and lighting didn't get really close until I was doing my hair any way.

Speaking of hair, Mom cut it for me today so the back is actually short enough to spike. Yay! It is spiked right now, but it probably wont make it to the movies tonight, what with the rain and all. Going to see Hancock though, should be fun.

Hope all is well in internet land haven't checked my f-list since Monday.

Okay so it starts raining this fine afternoon. Just a little at first so me and my grandmother keep working. After half an hour and no end in sight, plus thunder, we decide to call it a day. Fine with me I'm pretty much soaked through anyway. Before we make it back to the cars it starts to pour. We were less than 100 feet from the cars actually. But I still to get even soggier. Every article of clothing I was wearing was wet. Ick.

And the storm is evidently moving opposite direction of normal because it hit here just after I got in the house. Farmington was working on flooding. The four lane was flooding, there was standing water on hills. And at one point the rain was so heavy I almost pulled over because the visibility was crap.

Now I am home and in dry cloths and feel a little better. Even if I have to live through the storm again. At least I'm not out in it or driving in it this time.

Currently every time I listen to Empires album I end up dreaming about them. Which is random and odd since I don't actually know what they look like. May have actually had two dreams that somehow connected to them actually.

Which is was better than the weird alien cat invasion one. Because yeah, that was just odd. Shape shifting aliens that could disguise themselves as house cats, but were really evil looking things with big fangs. And they could somehow take you over, or turn you into one of them.

And the other one I can remember involved going undercover in a club as some sort of immigrant to help find a slave ring or something.

In other news it's raining out. And my grandmother is stubborn. We're just starting late today. She seems worried about me getting my paycheck. Which is possibly the only reason we're going to try and work today. I see another 3 or 4 hour day today.
