I put on my brown coat, and my big combat boots, combed my hair vaugely like Mal's and went to see Serenity. There was all of 10 people, and only one besides me who was a fan of the show, I sat next to him.
I liked it, very much so, it was shinny.
They killed off Book, and Wash. Why why why? This makes me sad, it also makes me worry about Zoe a little. Or maybe a lot. I'm sure she'll be fine, but still.
I liked the little history lesson at the begining. Nice to know what happend to earth.
I had no idea Simon was so involved with Rivers getting away. I'd been under the impression other people got her out and got her to him.
River can be useful and scary.
I liked how they wanted River back, not because of what they had made her but what she knew. That made it much better in my mind. People in power are always trying to get rid of those that know to much.
It was a gutsy move pretending to be a rever to get through them. And the fact that the Alliance is responsible for creating the revers. Wow, they suck a lot more now then I originally thought they did.
Poor Mr. Univers. He just wanted to know everything. And spend time with his love bot. But theirs was a love that wasn't ment to laugh.
I know understand the whole can't stop the signal thing a little bit better now.
I can't beleive that they let Siman and Kaylee get together finally. And River watching, amusing yet creepy all at once.
Was worried for awhile that like everyone was going to die, and that would have sucked so much I don't even have the words for it.
I didn't think Mal knew how to fly the ship. And yet there he is at the end trying to fly the ship. Good thing River didn't let him. And the end with the stuff falling off the ship. Ahahahah, as much as
things change, they stay excatly the same.
So yes everyone who's interested should see it. Snappy dialog. Wonderful specal effects shots with lots of ships. Actually I was really impressed with how the scence with all the ships and stuff moving every where came out. I was quite sucked into it.
Before I went to the movie I stopped to see my step-mother and drop off some more movies. (She just had surgery on her back so she's watching lots of movies.) The visit went well, was quite normal. Right up till the end. When she decided that it was a good time to talk to me about having sex. Only with out saying the word sex. I let her talk and silently laughed about the fact that the person who as she puts it 'finally trips my trigger' might not be a guy. So yeah, huh, I don't think any parental units have tried to talk to me about sex before, which is kind of amazing as I am in my 20's.
Fortunatly I managed to push it from my mind for the movie. And eveidenlty it's the same little speech she'd given my (younger) brothers at various times. Those poor boys. Poor me. Where's the mind bleach?
