You know what isn't conducive to a good nights sleep? When it rains so hard the sound wakes you up. Meh. So tired. And of course it's not raining now so I've got to go to work.

Okay so it starts raining this fine afternoon. Just a little at first so me and my grandmother keep working. After half an hour and no end in sight, plus thunder, we decide to call it a day. Fine with me I'm pretty much soaked through anyway. Before we make it back to the cars it starts to pour. We were less than 100 feet from the cars actually. But I still to get even soggier. Every article of clothing I was wearing was wet. Ick.

And the storm is evidently moving opposite direction of normal because it hit here just after I got in the house. Farmington was working on flooding. The four lane was flooding, there was standing water on hills. And at one point the rain was so heavy I almost pulled over because the visibility was crap.

Now I am home and in dry cloths and feel a little better. Even if I have to live through the storm again. At least I'm not out in it or driving in it this time.

adventures in cooking...

that actually turn out good.

So money is tight at the moment meaning I bought a lot of ramen the last time I went shopping. I know it's bad for you, but it is cheep. So how I make it usually is just cook it like normal then pour out most if not all of the water and use maybe half a packet of flavoring. Today I decided to try and get fancy after that. I had chicken flavored, so I dumped in the flavoring then added cheese and salsa. And it came out pretty darn good. Probably better tasting than if I'd actually just eaten it the way it was intended.

My grandmother is trying to turn me into a basement dweller. I was talking about all the times I've had to clean up messes made by the roommate's animals and she was like I think you might be better off living in my basement. It's got a shower. All you need is a microwave and you'd be all set. Admittedly my grandmother does have a nice finished basement with a bathroom. Well the front have. The other half has ledge in it. Plus everyone goes in and out through the basement. I'm not sure I'd like everyone and their relatives running though my home every time they visited.

Plus as far as basements go it's really well lit because it's not actually underground in the front. And if I live in a basement I want it to be sort of dark damn it.
