I'm glad October is over

psghayleauxNow generally October is my month. Halloween is my holiday. But this year not so much.
So at the beginning of the month there was the whole you have to sell guns or leave the position you love thing. I'd just started getting a handle on that by the end of the month. Then I got a text from my dad.
My oldest cousin's daughter had died. She was only 25, I'm actually closer in age to her than her dad. I didn't know her well, hadn't seen her since she was a kid. But it hit me hard. I found her facebook page and her website and we had a lot of things in common.
Based on her uncle doing a birthday fundraiser for a suicide prevention hotline I'm pretty sure she took her own life.
I'm hoping November will bring better things. I'm slowly making progress on this year's NaNo project which is better than no progress, I've got today off and high hopes for getting back on track.
