note to self: let fire burn out tonight. leave it out. call mother tomorrow. see if she has any more of that stuff to seal up wood stoves.
Oh god the living room should not fill up with smoke when you close the flue on the stove. And yet it does. Hope it doesn't get to cold tonight because I'm leaving the damn thing open now. I don't want the animals to die of smoke inhalation or something. Plus the air was starting to look hazy. I've got two fans going and a couple windows open.
I'm pretty sure this isn't a sign of a chimney fire. I've lived though those before. I'm pretty sure this is just an issue with the stove. The fact that there tends to be puffs of smoke from all the seal able seams when you close the flue really should have been my first clue.
