So I saw Blood & Chocolate. Possibly the best werewolf movie I've seen. I like the transformation. Of course I watched it and then walked myself home in the dark. Good thing from the roommate's Mom's to here is shorter than my Mom's driveway.

So I know everyone hates Laurell K. Hamilton and Anita Blake books now, but the new one is out. The roommate bought the last copy at Mr. Paperback so I ordered it on-line. It sounds like it has a plot. Plus Edward is back.

From what I've heard from some other friends, it's better than the last two, but not as good as the first ones. And damn it...I still haven't made it very far in that series, even though I want to.

Well that's somewhat encouraging.

Evidently she's only under contract for 15 books so soon there wont be new so it'll be easier to catch up.

Plot? Really? That'll be a first in how long?

I used to LOVE those books. But the ardeur was like sitcoms jumping the shark bit, in my opinion. Before she started screwing everything that moved and getting however many powers she has now... (I still haven't read Danse Macabre, scared to, really) But it will be nice to see Edward again.

And I will agree with you on Blood & Chocolate. It's on DVD here next week (the 12th) and I can't wait to go rent it to see it again. I'm still trying to find my copy of that book, it's driving me mad that I have no idea where it escaped to.

There's a trilogy of books called Voodoo Moon by Cheri Scotch. I've only gone through the first one, but it was really intriguing. A bit Laurell and a bit Anne Rice, but not overdoing it. Great for if you like werewolves and a bit of historical fiction thrown in.

Wow, long comment.

Yeah no kidding. We'll see.

Danse Macabre was like all sex, with a side of sex. And about 50 pages of plot squeezed in. At least that's what I remember I only read it once.

I'll probably buy Blood & Chocolate when it's officially out. My roommate works at a video store so she gets to bring the new movies home early.

I'll look into those books, they sound right up my alley.

I got Danse at the library. Probably buy it in paperback at a 1/2 price store just because I'm obsessive about having complete series.

The Werewolf's Kiss
The Werewolf's Touch
The Werewolf's Sin
(in that order)

It's set in Louisiana with some Voodoo thrown in. A bit of sensuality, but not as XXX as Anita's.

Sounds interesting, will put it on the list of books to look into.
