Jun. 10th, 2019 08:34 pmSurvived inventory at work. Still suffering from the last lingering effects of my cold. Including one ear that still keeps filling up with fluid and making my teeth hurt. 0/10 do not recommend.
In better news vacation starts when I clock out on Wednesday. I'll be going to VT to see my dad and the race car and I guess his wife. He's pretty happy I'll be there for Father's Day. Which is a nice bonus I'm most excited about going to the races. It's June and I haven't been to a single race or even been to a race track. It's been years since I didn't go until so late in the year.

That's the new (to us) dirt car and the new paint scheme. We've been running lime green cars since '97, but now they're everywhere and dad doesn't want to be one of the crowd. All of his cars have names, this one is called Caruso.

That's my dad with Caruso the horse. He was one of my step-mother's dressage horse, he bonded with my dad to the point that while he was still a show horse he was declared my dad's horse. Unfortunately, he had health problems and had to be put down last summer. My dad took it hard and is still pretty upset about it. So the new race car is named in honor of the horse. Which seems to be helping my dad with the loss. And prevents his crew chief from naming it something stupid. The crew chief is the reason we had a car known as Booger.
