Mar. 8th, 2019 10:13 amSo I've been doing the new job for about a week now. With a head cold because nothing says welcome back from a vacation like getting sick. I'm not sure if I should blame the boyfriend or an airport for the cold.
Soon is my least favorite part of the promotion. Being sent off for training. They assured me I'd get a week home between the two weeks of training. They were lying liars who lie. I'm going to be home three days.
And I'm probably going to have to deal with a roommate for at least the first week of training. The second week maybe not as it's job specific and I work in automotives which is still considered a man's place. Like in my interview I was actually asked if I could deal with it where it was really a male-dominated area. I straight up said I've been the only girl in the boys club since I was 11. (That's when I started helping my Dad with his race cars)
I mean after I said it I had a moment of oops maybe I shouldn't have put it like that, but it obviously didn't stop me from getting the job.
