So trying to watch the live web cast thing of the Green Day concert was pointless. Stupid dial up. I got maybe a min. of video out of the whole thing. And the sound quality varied a lot. Oh well. Figured it wasn't going to work well even though there was a dial up option. Middle of nowhere dial up is different from dial up else where I suspect. Connection speeds seem to vary depending on how far you live from a place with lots of people, relatively speaking, and well me not close to lots of people. So not much good with the connection. If I ever get a job thats something other then seasonal I'm getting DSL, mostly cause its though our phone carrier. Don't have cable so no cable internet, if they even offer it out here.

Okay done whining about internet. Should be glad I have it.

Sleep now I think. Not that I'll actually fall asleep, but the earlier I start trying the more likely I am to be to sleep before three.

New cage showed up for the degus. My figures may never recover from putting it together. Now that they are in there they may never come out again. The door latches to keep them from escaping are so good that I can't get them open with out a long and painful struggle. They seem to like it though. Alexander has been climbing the walls insesently. Hephaestion just figured out she can use ramps to get to the top, and no one has figured out what the wheel is yet. At lest one of the babies has also taken to climbing the walls. Yay! They like it. Will post a pic of it at some point.

edit: OMG the wheel is going to drive me nuts, it hits the wall of the cage. Gah. And it wont attach right so it bounces.

Just had a nice visit with a random cat. A very pretty cat. My grandmother came over to see if she knew it. We guess it belongs to a person in the area was in pretty good shape. Medium hair orange tiger. I wants it for myself. But my cat hated it on sight. And its probably got a home.

My cat is in fact scared of the degus. And Alexander has already chewed a hole in the plastic bottom on the cage. *feeds him to a cat that isn't scared of him*

I think curtsy of him doing that I've decided that I'm getting rid of the male degus. Two male degus free to a good home in 2 weeks.

edit: he was only chewing on one side of the cage. The one toward to contaner I keep their food in. Am trying and experiment, food is now on top of the cage.

Alexander = necrotic little freak. He was quite calmly laying in a pile with the other degus. Then he got up ran to the second level, ran down, ran back up, ran down, started chewing on stuff. And in general wound everyone else up. No cookies for him, sleeping in the other room, and as he's showing interest in chewing out of the cage again, he gets he own private cage for the night. Hope it doesn't get to cold. I'll feel really really bad if her freezes to death because I put him is his own cage.
