help?

So I keep trying to back up my journal using ljArchive, not because I really think LJ is going everywhere, but because I've been meaning to for years. And it keeps telling me that I need to set my encoding setting before my journal can be downloaded. Only I can't figure out how to do that, it tells me, but the function is clearly not where it used to be. Any ideas lj land?
