Oh I forgot the best thing that happened today. Someone (my grandmother with my aunts husbands input) put regular dish soap in the dishwasher and flooded the whole kitchen with bubbles. And it got even better than that, my uncle and my grandmother got the kitchen cleaned up, but then it started doing it again so rather than bother with the mop my grandmother got a big serving spoon and was scooping up the bubbles and dumping them in the sink. It was more entertaining than helpful so my uncle got the mop out again.

I know! Usually they are all, *sigh* Gail what have you done to your hair, don't you want to be normal? when I show up with weird hair. Evidently I've done it enough times they've adjusted to it.

Adjustment on their part is certainly good!

I've only really dyed my hair red (from brown), nothing more interesting than that, and I haven't heard the complaints and pushes toward the norm like that. My sister and brother-in-law usually say good things, while my parents tend to project this silent, sad, confused vibe of "wasn't the hair color you genetically received from us good enough?" ::rolling eyes::

Yeah, it was a nice change. When I dye my hair normal colors no one really notices. But they hated the green and only sort of tolerated the orange, and loved the purple. Which is good because I really like the purple too, I've had it for months which is the longest I've ever stuck with a color.
