psghayleauxSo I just saw Fast Five and now I want to go drive stupid fast in my car. Which is a fairly typically reaction for me. I enjoyed the movie, but thought it need more car stuff and less gun fights. That I went alone. Because if I'd gone with someone they would have gotten really sick of me bitching about how the cars wouldn't really be able to drive that fast in the desert after being pulled off a train and dropped on the ground in such a way that their suspension was probably messed up. Plus that GT-40 would not have done anywhere near that well on that terrain. Also Mia was probably about the only one of them that would actually fit in that car. They're called a GT-40 because they are only 40 inches tall.
Also while entertaining the whole pulling the vault seems a little unbelievable. But lots of fun. And I knew that garbage truck was important.
I did like how they've managed to pretty much tie all the movies together now. Even the stupid second one. Don't like the whole surprise Letty isn't really dead thing though. It's not like people won't go to the inevitable next one, they don't need that sort of stupid and insipid plot twist. That is the stuff of soap operas, the love of so and so's life has died, after a long time they find love again, only to find out the love of their life isn't dead.
The Han what's her face thing is cute. And the nod to the fact the actress was in the army was nice too. They seem to be trying really hard to keep Han from making it to Tokyo though. He's going, but not yet. Because then he dies. And they I guess they'll have to involve Lucas Black's character again, and I'm not terribly fond of him so I'm okay with it not happening yet.
And Mia and Brian are breading, they'll all be a family now. Although I half expected Dom to flip the fuck out. Also for Vince to like beat the shit out of Dom and betray everyone.
So yes the movie was fun now I want to drive to fast. Or borrow Mom's car. She has a car like the one Mia drives at the beginning. Only with a wide body kit and a far cooler black paint job. The NSX's really look a lot better with the wide body kits actually.
